Perandai Murukku, also known as Tire Murukku, is a traditional South Indian snack made with rice, urad dal, sunflower oil, and salt. Its distinctive twisted, tyre-like shape is inspired by the Perandai creeper plant; the name refers to the shape, not a Perandai ingredient.
Enjoy its mild flavour and crunchy bite on its own or pair it with Adhirasam for a traditional sweet-and-savoury combination.
Ingredients: Rice, urad dal, sunflower oil, and salt.
